Perry has an attractive and convenient office at 780 NW Broad Street in Southern Pines, NC where he provides private tutoring for the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. This location is convenient for students living in Southern Pines, Pinehurst, West End, Whispering Pines, Aberdeen and other Moore County towns. Also, Perry frequently works with active-duty service members from nearby Fort Liberty, often as they are transitioning out of the service and preparing to take the GRE or GMAT when applying for graduate studies; a recent GRE client was admitted to the Fuqua School of Business at Duke.

Perry and his wife relocated to Pinehurst in 2004 and Perry resumed offering private tutoring for the ACT, SAT, GMAT, and GRE in the Southern Pines and Moore County areas. Since then, he has tutored hundreds of students from all the Moore County public and private high schools as well as numerous home-schooled students. After a few years tutoring for the SAT and ACT, Perry added the GRE and GMAT to his tutoring offerings.

The biggest change in standardized testing recently has been the reduction in the length of the tests and the use of adaptive techniques. This has changed the test prep process for Southern Pines area students. The SAT changed from a paper test that took over 3 hours to an adaptive, computer-based test with timing reduced to 2 hours, 16 minutes. Students that Perry has worked with in the Pinehurst / Southern Pines areas have reacted positively to the new test. Also, in recent months the GRE and GMAT have introduced shortened tests.
